Granola-based snacks have come a long way since I grew up eating them in — gasp — the 1970s. Back then, they were hard, brittle bars that posed a real threat to anyone with expensive dental work. These days, granola snacks have evolved into something softer and chewier by design, with far more interesting ingredients and textures. Of course, in the quest for better flavor and added kid-appeal, many “better-for-you” snacks drift into candy bar or cookie territory. And honestly? That’s not necessarily a bad thing —especially if a sweet snack can redeem itself with recognizable, natural ingredients. Because when it comes to snacking, isn’t it really all about the taste? You know it is.

Snack Review: NatureBox
Do you like to snack? I sure do. I am too lazy to wash and peel fresh fruit, so, ideally, my go-to snacks tend to be packaged and ready to serve. I generally try to snack on nuts or whole grain chips, which are convenient and delicious. But often I just become unimaginative when it comes to choosing snacks that are safe to keep in the house (i.e. not cake, a thing over which I have no self control). And then I get bored. Sigh.

Do you like Breakfast? I sure do. The thing is, on weekdays I don’t have time to make breakfast for myself at home – plus, who can eat that early! So, I like breakfast foods that I can keep at the office and eat at my desk; you know, after I have had my coffee and am fully awake. Because, mornings!
