Skate Decks By Paul McCarthy
If you are acquainted with art of Paul McCarthy, then you’ve come to understand that McCarthy’s art is centered in taking the familiar and banal and fucking it up a little bit, because that is how he rolls. Bacon Thing of The Day: United Tastes Of America by Jon Burgerman
Artist Statement:
“I decided to make flags for each game of the World Cup I watched this Summer. I wanted to spread my support for different countries and feel more like a global citizen, without any political or geographical ties. That’s the greatest gift football and other sports can offer, they can genuinely bring disparate people together for play.
I re-imagined flags of different countries, adding a playful reference to that country within the design of the flag. America has one of the best flag designs there is, I really love it, and it was a lot of fun to work on. The first edition of this flag was with a burger and fries but the fries didn’t quite look right in red, so I turned them into bacon. Everyone seems to love bacon.” – Jon Burgerman

Poster for George: Silver Edition (Images Courtesy of Big Hassle PR)
There is no denying that George Harrison was a ridiculous babe, as evidence by the above poster, which was created by Shepard Fairey based on a photograph by Astrid Kirchherr. I want to own it.
Poster For George will be offered in two editions — Red and Silver — as a tie-in with the recent release of the CD Box Set, George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75. Both editions are limited to 400 signed and numbered copies. The posters are being sold one day apart and via separate webstores, as detailed below.

New Slash Album Features Artwork by Ron English
World on Fire, the new album by Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, which hits stores on September 17th will feature a brightly colored, collage design by Popaganda artist, Ron English.
English previously created the cover art for Slash’s self-titled solo album released in 2010 and he has also designed limited edition, collectible art toys inspired by the former GNR Guitarist, such as this Top Hat-Adorned Bust Sculpture. Very cool!
