Hot New Products: we want to know all about them, and when those new items come from a brand whose products we already love, we can’t wait to try them! The promise of being introduced to, and l tasting, delicious new, limited edition and seasonal items from trusted favorites like Tombstone, Pom and Uncle Ben’s — as well as some trending brands that were new to us — brought the food writers and bloggers to the Marriott Marquis on April 6th for Editor Showcase Eat This Event. Despite the fierce winter chill, Food Bloggers and Journalists flocked to the Marriott Marquis in Times Square last week for the first Editor Showcase event of the year. Even with the show’s focus on the theme of Health and Nutrition, we were surprised and pleased to see such a variety of fresh foods and produce mixed in with the usual offerings of (albeit delicious) yogurt, chips and gluten-free products that are the staples of most food shows. Do you like frozen desserts? I sure do. Frozen Fruit, Ice Cream, Yogurt – just put it on a stick and I’m good to go for convenient, tasty snacking! While attending the Health & Nutrition Editor Showcase event in February, I was introduced to a healthy snack called frozen Kefir from the Lifeway family of products. The folks at Lifeway were happy to send over a couple of boxes of their Frozen Kefir Bars in two delicious flavors and I have been enjoying them this past week as a light and low calorie snack while TV-watching!
