At #newyorkcomiccon on Saturday the crazy crowd did not detract from the fun vibe. Please enjoy this collection of photos of #Cosplayers and fans!@newyorkcomiccon #wearethegoonsquadandwerecomingtotown #cosplay #nycc @javitscenter
On my Saturday adventure at #NewYorkcomiccon @newyorkcomiccon I stopped by the booth for globally famous comic book artist and legend #denyscowan to get this photo and remind him of where we first met. Over 30 years ago when I was a new resident of New York City, I needed to work a second job to pay the bills, so I spent many evenings and weekends working at a local video store in the Gramercy Park neighborhood, where Denys lived at the time, and he was one of our regular customers. I remember talking to him about his work drawing #Superman and #thedarkknight although I was not really reading comic books at the time. Now that I’m writing about them, I wanted to say hi to Denys and blow his mind a little bit with this memory. Consider it mission accomplished. Denys did not remember me specifically, but he sure did remember that store. He is super nice and of course ridiculously talented. I invite you to check out his four-decade long career by doing a little googling on him. #dethklok
I feel very fortunate to have a #pressbadge for the 20th annual #NewYorkComicCon at the Javits Center. I barely got my feet wet tonight for the 2 1/2 hours I was able to hang out before we closed the place down. Please enjoy a selection of my photos from this evening and expect more during the weekend. Thanks to all the great artists and #cosplayers I met tonight who made the experience so awesome. @newyorkcomiccon #warriorscomeouttoplay
