Pratt Manhattan Gallery presents 0 to 60: The Experience of Time through Contemporary Art, a multi-medium exhibition that explores time in its many iterations — real time, virtual time, historical time, recorded time, manipulated time and more. I’m always on the look out for Do It Yourself, Contemporary Design ideas for the home, and this empty Paint Can Chandelier, spotted hanging in Urban Outfitters at the corner of 72nd Street and Broadway, really caught my eye. You can see from the close-up photo below that this lighting fixture could probably be made with some inexpensive cables and a little home improvement electrical know-how Googled from the Interwebs. Notice how the motif continues on wall the background!

Agne made the sculpture to draw attention to the need for green effort consciousness with regard to reduction, recycling and reuse here in our consumer culture.
