Geoffrey and I were in the thick of an exhausting Art Crawl last Saturday, trying to catch up on dozens of exhibits whose opening receptions we weren’t able to hit on September 12th — the official kick off to the NY Art Scene’s Fall/Winter Season — when we were drawn into the Leila Heller Gallery by the colorful graphic mural by Tunisian artist el Seed wrapping the gallery’s windows from 25th Street around the corner and down 11th Avenue. Happy Monday! The 4 and 5 trains were running about 20 minutes behind schedule this morning due to either a stalled number 7 train at 42nd Street/Grand Central or signal problems at Bleecker Street, depending on who you believe. But the delays weren’t anywhere near as bad as these L trains to Brooklyn. Gee wiz. If I had to wait fifteen hundred and thirty four minutes for a train, I’d probably just suck it up and take a cab.
