Anyone traveling across town on east 14th street at any time of the day or night will surely notice the crowd swell and line-down-the-block that stretches outside of the ridiculously popular storefront pizza joint, Artichoke Pizza. Have you seen the Tru•Blood marketing campaign yet? The poster above has adorned the side of a bus shelter on Avenue A and 14th Street for about the past month. Ben, Tracy and Gail are “The Desperate Housewives”!
Right now it’s about 70 degrees out on the streets of New York City, so it doesn’t feel much like Halloween. Though on my way home I did have to wade through a sea of ankle-biters and pre-schoolers all dressed-up like little Vampires and Pea-Pods on a mission to do some serious Trick or Treating at the neighborhood bodegas all along 14th Street, so that was kind of scary. Happy Halloween, Everybody!
