Very Scary
A creation of the late Alexander McQueen, and very much in the style of the rather physically challenging footwear designs he was known for, this one-off pair of heels inspired by the creature from the Alien film franchise were made for a runway show only. Sadly, they are not available to purchase.

A half a dozen years after Swiss surrealist HR Giger designed the cover art for Emerson Lake & Palmer’s 1973 prog rock opus, Brain Salad Surgery, he increased his profile greatly with a little gig designing the title creatures for a sci-fi flick called Alien. Now, the chest-burster Aliens from that film’s pivotal early scene meet delicious pastry in the form of the HR Giger-inspired Wedding Cake. The picture above really says it all: a brilliant creation, and it’s probably delicious as well!

Attention collectors of all toys alien and space-related! “The Obie the Alien Space Cadet Hot Pink Edition is the alternate colorway of the original alien in the orange suit with a blue body. This version features a hot pink spacesuit with a green body. The Cadet measures 11″ tall (including sock), comes individually clamshelled and boxed (4″ wide x 9 ½” wide x 11″ tall) and is limited to only 80 pieces worldwide. Look for the figure to retail at around $60.”
