It also means that it’s time for Fall Food Fete, a great event to sample new products and get in the mood to celebrate. A couple of weeks ago, my friend Mark threw a fabulous brunch party, where I was introduced to a delicious alcoholic beverage called Maven. An entirely original cocktail, Maven is created by the infusion of fine wines with premium vodka — two beverages which I love on their own, but would never, ever have thought of combining. Can I just tell you that the result is a great-tasting cocktail that kind of blew my mind a little.

Drinking and Holidays; they go together. The Kraken Rum is imported black spiced rum from the Caribbean which is named for the sea beast of myth and legend made famous by film, The Clash of The Titans. The base rum used in Kraken – distilled from molasses made from local sugar cane – is aged 12 to 24 months and is then blended with a proprietary mix of 11 spices, including cinnamon, ginger and clove. Tasty! All added ingredients are natural, and The Kraken is gluten-free and vegan.

Ingredients:
2 Parts Three Olives Whipped Cream Vodka
2 Parts Apple Cider
Cinnamon Stick for Garnish
Pour both ingredients into a tall mug, garnish with cinnamon stick. Sip and enjoy!
