The design for this gorgeous and super cool pink bed is inspired by the body of a 1960 Chevy Impala, and I just love it. The bed has storage space in engine compartment when you open the hood and it even has working headlights. Manufactured by Jake’s Custom Car Furniture, it looks pretty awesome, but the price is a little expensive at $4,000.

Jag (2008) Leather, Foam, Wire
Nicole and I went the Dumbo Arts Fair today, which was awesome. My favorite thing that I saw all day was a sculpture by artist David Baskin, entitled Jag, which is a hot pink leather-covered, foam sculpture modeled from the body of a 1968 Jaguar car. Buckminster Fuller Invented This Rad Car!
Those of you that read this blog with regularity will know that most weekends, Geoffrey and I take what we call an “Urban Field Trip” so that we have an excuse to leave the house. This Past Sunday we visited the Buckminster Fuller exhibit at the Whitney Museum. I admit that I did not know much (i.e. practically anything) about Fuller before we decided to go see the exhibit. I had the vague feeling that Fuller was some kind of philosopher or spiritualist, so I did a little surfing on the Google before we hit the museum.
