Just when you think Cody Foster & Co. can’t create any new and clever David Bowie Christmas Ornaments for your holiday décor, you see this thing at NY Now and are proven wrong. Yes, it is a glass ornament of a white cat head with the Aladdin Sane lightning bolt across its face and heterochromia eyes — which Bowie did not actually have, but which he is commonly depicted as having. What Bowie actually suffered from is called anisocoria: namely that one pupil was larger than the other. Live and learn.

The Munchkin cat is a fairly recent breed distinguished by its extremely tiny legs, which are the consequence of a genetic abnormality.

Munchkins, other than their unique legs, are similar to any other species and can have a short or long coat in nearly any color or pattern. Grooming is not essential for shorter-haired Munchkins, but mild grooming may be required for long-haired cats.

They also have huge, walnut-shape eyes that can be virtually any hue, just like their coat. They are a small to medium breed with a weight range of 2–4 kg (approx 4.5 pounds) and 19–21 cm (approx. 8 inches) height. Their life expectancy is between 12 and 14 years. “Paying Attention All the Time is an Interesting Way to Go Through the Day.” That is my favorite quote from photographer Stephen Shore, and while it applies to most days of my life, it was especially true during the week I spent vacationing in Chicago. Man, excluding decent weather, that city has just about everything, including lots of fun public art. This site-specific mural of cartoonish fat cats is painted on the exterior of Broken English Taco Pub, which according to its website serves “A unique take on Mexican street style tacos.”  Sounds yummy!
