I spotted this adorable little Critter Clutch (as they are called) felted wool shoulder bag — in the extra fun shape of a Pink Axolotl — at the NY Now Winter Marketplace show and could not resist recruiting it for a place in the Pink Thing of the Day Hall of Fame!

This Biting Shark Game was spotted in a Flying Tiger store in Chiswick, London during my 2024 summer vacation. Since all the US-based Flying Tiger stores went out of business during the Covid lockdown, I was extremely excited to find out that they still exist in Europe, because they are just the best stores ever.

In the heart of New York City’s vibrant Lower East Side, Freeman Alley has once again served as a canvas for the prolific street artist Phetus. This latest mural, first spotted by me on a Sunday morning in mid-October, bursts with a riot of color and quirky charm, showcasing rows of tightly stacked faces. Each one is an exaggerated, monster-like character — signature Phetus style —wildly expressive and almost cartoonish in their otherworldly features.

I had so much fun at Anime NYC taking photos of every adorable thing that met my eyes, one of which was this Pink Pony Club sticker from Rolly Poly Studios; a private pottery studio located in Queens, NY that makes extremely cute pottery items and stickers! Squee! In my experience, references to a Pink Pony are generally associated with something quite sexy. However, there’s also a popular song from 2020 by singer Chappell Roan  called “Pink Pony Club,” and I think the sticker has a connection to that song, from the evidence presented here. Ride on!
