Spotted at this year’s Summer Fancy Food Show, these wildly whimsical Freeze Dried Candy Clusters from High Snack are a technicolor dream of sugary delight — and they just so happen to be perfectly pink (and the little warrior characters on the bag? Insanely cute). These fluffy, crunchy morsels look like cereal marshmallows got a glam makeover, complete with tiny golden sprinkles and an unapologetically artificial hue. In the realm of foods clearly not found in nature, this treat earns top marks. Sweet, crunchy, and impossible to ignore — just like all our favorite Pink Things.

Pink Thing of The Day: Pink Ice Cream Cone Mural

Spotted melting down emotionally and physically on the 10th Street side of Gelatoville in the East Village, today’s Pink Thing is a mural of one very nervous-looking scoop of Strawberry Gelato. This poor pastel blob seems to have just realized its fate — and it’s dripping with anxiety. Created by street artist Insomnia (who clearly relates), this frozen treat is serving full-on panic meltdown. I feel you on this.

Visit Gelatoville for a scoop or two at 163 Avenue A at the northwest corner of 10th Street!

Toy Fair 2025: The Ultimate Photo Recap!

Toy Fair, held annually at NYC’s Javits Center, is one of the largest and most exciting toy industry trade shows in the world. It’s where toy manufacturers, buyers, and industry professionals come together to showcase and discover the latest in toys, games, collectibles, and licensing trends.  Toy Fair is a dream event for anyone who loves toys, pop culture, and creative product design, though it’s traditionally a trade-only event and therefore not open to the general public). Bummer for you!

Fortunately, I was able to snag a press badge this year and make my inaugural visit, where I had an amazing time! Toy Fair runs for four days (four days!) but my busy social calendar only allowed me one day at the show. This meant that I had a lot of ground to cover, but I made the most those seven or eight hours.  Let’s check out some of my favorite finds!
