While the NYC edition of  our favorite biannual art event, the Affordable Art Fair, reemerged from its Covid-imposed hiatus in the spring of this year, the fair’s fall edition (which took place over four days in late September) showed a significant return to form. Not only has the fair increased the number of exhibitors to again fill the second floor of their space at the Metropolitan Pavilion, but the sponsored open bar was back as well! Most importantly, the variety of unique artworks for sale has taken a step up. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite pieces!

The Affordable Art Fair Returns for Spring 2021!

A sure sign that the vaccine rollout is working — and Covid is finally on the wane —  was the in-person return of the semi-annual Affordable Art Fair, which arrived  at NYC’s Metropolitan Pavilion on May 20th for four fun days of art and socializing, at long last!

While the Fair has been restaged to allow for better traffic flow and social distancing –which means many of our favorite vendors were absent (Tag Fine Arts, you were missed) — there was still lots of cool art to see,  familiar faces and new exhibitors whose artworks we are excited to bring you in this post. Let’s take a look at the triumphant return of the Affordable Art Fair!

Life is better with Art in it: it’s just a fact. Whether you are a seasoned collector, someone looking to start a collection by investing in a single piece for your home, or an art lover who just enjoys the inspiration and joy of browsing, the Affordable Art Fair is a great place to expose yourself to (and purchase) art of almost every tangible medium.

Held in a dual-floor space inside the Metropolitan Pavilion, AAFNYC gathers contemporary galleries from across the globe in the spring and fall each year for a three-day event that’s always both educational and lots of fun. This season’s fair boasted the most diverse collection of high-quality, original art that I’ve noticed for as long as I’ve been attending. Let me turn you on to some of my favorite pieces spotted at this year’s fall fair!

Whether you’re an experienced art collector, a new investor looking for pieces with a personal resonance to enliven your home decor, or an art fan just looking for ideas, the Affordable Art Fair, which makes a biannual stop in Manhattan, is a must-attend event. Art Galleries come from around the globe to offer something for every taste beyond what you can find in the NYC galleries.

AAF NY Fall 2017

The AAFNY made its Fall stop at the Metropolitan Pavilion event space from September 14th through the 17th, but we made the scene for the Press Preview on Wednesday and hit each both in the search of the best Pink Art (which includes art in  varying shades of pink, and art with pink as a secondary color), which is how we break it down.
