I moved to Manhattan in the fall of 1988, but having made perhaps a half dozen trips to NYC between 1979 and the year I became a resident, I sure do remember when the subway looked like this. Ah, sweet nostalgia. You can almost smell the urine.

I don’t own a “Smart Phone” (yet) because I don’t actually have any desire to be connected to the Internet every waking second of my life, but I do enjoy using the occasional Facebook App and the Movie Box App, just so I can appear to be somewhat “in the know” and hip (key word: appear). Oh, wow! I remember seeing this Mystery Date board game commercial when I was a wee lass, because I am one hundred years old. If only dating in real life were as much fun as they make it seem in this game. *Sigh*
