You might recall that last summer we made three or four unsuccessful attempts (before finally lucking out with our timing) to see the massive Mr. Brainwash Life is Beautiful pop-up exhibit, which was located under the High Line at 14th Street for a few months. Seriously, that shit was just never, ever open.

Here’s another one of Dasic Fernandez‘ colorful murals. I spotted this one on 20th Street just East of 8th Avenue in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood.

Hey, here’s a simple, cost-effective and undeniably creative way to liven-up an ordinary, bland blue recycling bin that you might have sitting out back on your patio, or in the basement or garage, or wherever. All you need are hands, a few cans of spray paint and little bit of an aesthetic feel for what colors look good together.
I saw this bin in the backyard of artist Mark Kostabi. I can’t say if Mark actually did the painting, but it pleases me to imagine that he did.

The Brazilian twins and street artist duo known as Os Gemeos have put up this fun mural on Houston just West of Bowery, which shows one of their signature characters tagging the building with the name Os Gemeos. Very meta indeed!
