2010 CANstruction Exhibit Now on View at NYC’s Brookfield Place

For all fans of art and also those fascinated with architecture and design, the annual Canstruction exhibit is a must see. Canstruction, Inc. is a nonprofit organization – and the most unique food charity in the world – that holds annual design and build competitions among those in the architecture and design field where the challenge is to construct fantastic, giant sized, structures made entirely out of canned food. After the structures are built, with the winners in each city chosen, the “canstructions” go on view to the general public as a unique and cohesive art exhibit. This year, 25 amazing sculptures are on view in the Brookfield Place mall located in the World Financial Center in downtown Manhattan.

Grow a Mustache For Prostate Cancer Awareness!

A bunch of guys in my office that have no business trying to grow hair on their faces are doing this Grow a Mustache thing to raise awareness of male cancers. This Beard Bro movement is pretty awesome except that they all look ridiculous (see photo above), but it’s for a good cause, so maybe you want to check it out and grow a mustache yourself! Mustache!

I received this fun letter today from the President of Covenant House, which refers to This Post I composed on New Year’s Eve 2007. Personally, I think it’s completely hilarious given the mean-spiritedness of the post, which calls for the death of people who own car alarms and expresses similar un-PC thoughts and dark desires harbored by me. But hey, Fan Mail is Fan Mail. And getting Fan Mail from a Nun is just awesome!
