Toy Fair 2026: The Ultimate Photo Recap!

One of the most highly anticipated annual gatherings at NYC’s Javits Center is Toy Fair, a massive showcase for the toy industry where manufacturers, designers, licensors, and inventors reveal what’s next in the world of play. It’s part trade show, part trend forecast, and plenty of joyful overload — a place where plushies, collectibles, games, and wonderfully strange inventions all compete for your attention.

This year marked my second exploration of Toy Fair, and this time I was able to devote two days to fully immerse myself in the festivities. Having that extra time made all the difference. Instead of rushing  from booth to booth, I wandered, discovered, and let the surprises find me.

To me, Toy Fair is like the Summer Fancy Food Show — but for toys. Anything and everything is on display to satisfy every possible taste. Cute? Check. Collectible? Absolutely. Weird? Definitely. Nostalgic? Everywhere. The creativity on display feels endless.

If you’ve ever been to New York or San Diego Comic-Con, you know the deal. The crowds are insane, the panels are packed, and the exclusives? Forget about it. But in the middle of all the madness, there’s one collectible that’s gotten hotter every year, custom enamel pins.

They’re small enough to fit in your pocket, flashy enough to cover your lanyard, and rare enough to send fans sprinting across the floor like it’s the 100-meter dash. Yes, I know that Valentine’s Day has long passed — and Wicked is kind of played at the moment — but this little Pink gal is still making the rounds in collector’s circles, so it may not be too late snap yours up!  Funko is spreading the love with its 2025 Valentine’s Day Edition Glinda from  the hit musical that I still haven’t seen!

I saw this little guy in the Barnes and Noble shop in Union Square, and was so tickled by his name alone that I had to snap a photo for the sole purpose of featuring him in this week’s Yes, It Exists column. From what I can garner off the interwebs, Mr. Poopy Butthole is character on the Adult Swim cartoon series, Rick & Morty, which I have only just started watching. If you feel compelled to know more about Mr. Poopy Butthole — and really, who could blame you for being curious — he has his own Wiki page located at This Link!
