The street artist known as Hektad has left this message of love for all NYers in the form of a colorfully painted alternative weekly distribution box located on the western traffic island at the intersection of Houston and Bowery (where I stood to photograph the Ron English Mural currently on display).

Street artist Flood is showing some support for the many ladies who have called out comedian Bill Cosby on charges of sexual assault, through a series of wheat pastes featuring characters from Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, an animated TV show that ran from 1972 to 1985, which Cosby created based on kids he knew growing up in Northern Philadelphia.
Do you think Bill will ever “just admit it”? I’m not holding my breath.
Another fun exhibit I saw recently is from abstract sculptor Luke Achterberg, who draws inspiration from two very specific American sub-cultures: urban graffiti and hot-rodding. This Street Art Tag of a Silver Sphere sporting Dark Shades and a Protruding Tongue can be seen around the Chelsea Gallery District neighborhood adorning various surfaces, from the above mail box to a van I saw parked just a few blocks from where this photo was taken, at the corner of Tenth Avenue and 20th Street.
