Last night, Geoffrey and I did a modified a mid-week art crawl that included a stop at Flag Art Foundation on West 25th Street before heading off to the upper east side to scope out new art by David Zink Yi at Hauser & Wirth and, not long after that, scurrying off to their boss after show party held at The East Wing – where we were served party foods that were just insane! Props to Hauser & Wirth for knowing how to throw a bash!

It’s Big, It’s Gay, It’s Ice Cream!
My pal Lisa over at Skulls & Bacon just turned me on to the joys of The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. According to the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck, this purveyor of cold and creamy sweet delights will be in the Union Square vicinity until 6:00 PM this evening, so I m planning on a visit after work. Lisa was raving about the caramelized bacon and chocolate ice-cream sandwich, but I think I may have to go for a Vanilla Soft Serve with Dulce de Leche and Nilla Wafers. Heaven on a cone!
Watch Me Eat This Thing
You are probably not even going to believe this, but I went outside just now to take a walk to the CVS with my co-worker, Chantale, and when we were walking back to the office there was a Mister Softee truck parked right at the curb! Holy frozen goodness, Batman; there is surely nothing quite like enjoying your first Mister Softee cone of the season while sitting on a sun-warmed park bench, being caressed by the breeze coming off the Hudson. Today is a good day.
