I enjoyed my first official Mister Softee treat of the not-quite-Summer season at the beginning to June, when I visited Little Island Park, and it was delicious! Nothing says summer fun quite like a soft serve ice-cream in a cone or cup (my preference, due to less mess)! Are you a vanilla, a chocolate, or a twist fan? And to dip or not to dip? This past week I had the chance to make my first visit to the newly-opened Little Island Park, which is located on the Hudson River at Pier 55, between 13th and 14th Streets, and accessible via a concrete pier. The park is open from 6 AM to 1 AM and free tickets  can be booked at the link above.  Note that tickets are not required to enter the park between 6 AM and 12 Noon, so considering the demand is currently quite high, it might be a good idea to plan a trip to Little Island for the morning hours.
