Pink Thing of The Day: Pink Marshmallow Macarons from Dana’s Bakery!

Pink Marshmallow Macaron by Danas Bakery

I first discovered Dana’s Bakery and their fancy and fabulous Macarons at a Summer Fancy Food Show a few summers back. When it comes to imaginative baking and creative flavor profiles, nobody does it like Dana’s. Just in time for our first Easter spent in nationwide quarantine, Dana’s Bakery has announced their special Pink Marshmallow Macaron! Each box includes 12 bright pink macarons with sweet marshmallow creme filling, rolled in sugar sprinkles! Always gluten-free and kosher, available for April in their Build-A-Box and Variety Pack. Brownie Brittle Introduces New Chocolate Almond Variety Plus Thindulgent Sandwich Cookies!

New Brownie Brittle Treats
All Photos By Gail

It is no secret that Brownie Brittle products are my snack-time jam. And what makes innovative baker Sheila G’s line of gluten-free sweet treats so endlessly exciting is the fact that they are always evolving the brand; introducing new varieties of the original Brownie Brittle chocolate cookie and developing new products that take indulgence to a new level entirely.

Chocolate Almond Brownie Brittle

Almond lovers are going to want to rush out to pick up a bag (or two) of their new Chocolate Almond Brownie Brittle, which is absolutely loaded with crunchy, fresh toasted almond pieces (and chocolate chips!) in every bite. I had taken photos for this review of the Chocolate Almond Brownie Brittle lounging seductively on a plate, but it somehow got lost in the ether between my iPhone and my Mac, so you will have to believe me when I say that, in person, it looks exactly as it does on the package photo — if not even more scrumptious. My advice is that, when snack time arrives, to just put a few pieces of Brownie Brittle on a plate for yourself, and then seal the package back up and hide it, otherwise you’ll be munching away happily and suddenly find yourself with an empty bag in your lap. Ask me how I know.

Thindulgent Cookie Sandiwches

Also new on grocer’s shelves are Brownie Brittle Thindulgent Sandwich Cookies, which exist among the most outrageously delicious edible things in the universe that you don’t have to bake yourself. Hallelujah!

Salted Caramel Thindulgent Sandiwch Cookie

The Brownie Brittle brand stays on-trend with the introduction of these light and delicate cookies that pack a flavor explosion. Salted Caramel Thindulgent Sandwich Cookies feature a dynamic duo of crunchy caramel biscuits plus a rich chocolate filling studded with chewy cameral bits. Insane! It took me 2 days to eat the entire box, and that is only because I was trying to show restraint. These lighter-than-air biscuits are very similar to the Pepperidge Farm European style cookies, specifically the wildly popular Milano Cookies, of which am a huge fan. The thing is, I like these even better!

Toasted Coconut Thindulgent Sandiwch Cookie

Toasted Coconut Thindulgents have the coconut baked into each biscuit, with the same luscious chocolate filling layered between them. These did not last long in my pantry either!

Enjoy Life Foods Presents: Cherry Cobbler Soft Baked Bars

Enjoy Life Cherry Cobbler Box

When I was a kid, Granola Bars – which, seriously, were just being introduced at that time – tasted like molasses covered particle board. Eventually, those dry, jaw cracking “treats” became “chewy granola bars” and continued to metamorphose until something that was supposed to be “healthy” and “natural” looked and tasted remarkably similar to a candy bar, with some rolled oats thrown in. Epic Fail!

Enjoy Life Cherry Cobbler Bar

You may recall that a few weeks back, Enjoy Life Foods shipped us a huge box of their snacks and today we are going to tell you about one of our new favorites, Cherry Cobbler Soft Baked Bars. I am a big fan of Cherry Pie or just about anything containing that fruit. What I loved instantly about the Cherry Cobbler variety of these bars is how each one is really packed with chewy dried cherries as well as other yummy stuff such as crisped rice and dried apples. They are so good, and only 140 calories each!

These Decadent Bars (as they are also called on the box) are great for a quick on-the-go breakfast, a snack anytime, or a fun dessert. Look how I put ice cream on one for a fancy treat:

Enjoy Life Soft Baked Bars come in three other tempting flavors (I have a box of each still waiting to be enjoyed), including: S’mores, Chocolate SunButter® (Sunflower Seed Butter) and Cinnamon Bun. Each bar is topped with a sweet icing drizzle which complements the flavor. All bars are gluten-free and free from the top 8 allergens. Pink Thing of The Day: Pink Cotton Candy Machine!

Just looking at this Pink Cotton Candy Machine takes me back to a dozen school carnivals. Good times!

Taco Bell Birthday Cake

This rad birthday cake in the form of two Taco Bell tacos was made by Laura LeClair Kelley – surely the Coolest Mom in the World – for her son’s 12th birthday. Here’s what’s in it: The taco “shells” are made of rolled out snicker-doodle dough with chocolate jimmies throughout for the “flecks.” The inner cake is a frosted chocolate round, cut in half. The lettuce is coconut that has been doctored with green food coloring, the tomatoes are diced up Twizzlers, cheese is rolled out and julienned orange Starbursts and the sour cream is made from giant melted marshmallows. According to Laura, “the entire process was surprisingly easy” and “didn’t take much time to do at all.” So awesome.
