During the Christmas holidays I enjoyed a relaxing and fun stay in Southern California. One of the local sites I visited for the first time is the Long Beach Aquarium, also called the The Aquarium of the Pacific. I have visited Aquariums all over the country from New Orleans to Atlanta to Seattle and I must say that the Aquarium of the Pacific is home to many exotic fish and sea creatures that I had never even seen before. Nothing shows the possession of a splendid sense of the morbidly hilarious quite like emerging from the surf in a wet suit designed to look as if you’ve just been mauled and partially eaten by a shark! Ho ho ho! Available in limited quantities, and by request only, from Dornob, where they have pictures of other wet suits that are also kind of wacky!

On my last day in Atlanta, I took a trip to the Georgia Aquarium, which has been open for just one year and is the largest aquarium in the world. Seriously. Here are some of the cool sea creatures I saw on my visit.
