This week’s Pink Thing(s) of the Day dives into the heart of Times Square, where an eye-catching display of New York City souvenirs transforms classic icons into a pink paradise. In a sea of neon lights and bustling crowds, it was refreshing to see these quintessentially New York items — rubber ducks (including one with a playful Statue of Liberty pose), a crystal apple paperweight, heart-shaped New York badges, eyeglass case, and even mini snow globes — stand out in rosy hues. Souther Salazar’s Souvenirs at Jonathan LeVine Gallery

I’m a little bit late to the party writing about this very cool exhibit, due to being busy doing other equally cool things. That said, you have until June 15th to make it to the Jonathan LeVine Gallery to see the Souvenirs solo exhibit from Portland-based artist Souther Salazar.

Souvenirs includes a series of new paintings, drawings, sculptures and installations, and it is very fun and totally family friendly.
