The Trashy Lingerie store (online, visit Trashy.com) is a Los Angeles institution specializing in handmade and bespoke lingerie and costumes, and housed inside a fabulous Pink Building. They had already closed for the day when we happened to pass by in mid-December, but I did get a snap of one of the front Christmas-themed window displays!
Trashy Lingerie is Located at 402 N. La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048 (Just One Block from the Famous Canter’s Deli)!
Not being a ‘Baby Person,’ I had never heard of Cybex, but apparently they are experts in child car seats, baby carries, strollers and other baby gear, for those who are baby-inclined. And their store in the Shops at Hudson Yards sure did design a fetching Window Display that is just exploding with soft Pinkness. Sigh.
I made my first appointment to get the Covid vaccine on the exact day that NY State opened eligibility for my age group, and was fully vaccinated by April. Being vaccinated allowed me to safely fly across the country to meet up with my sister (who is also vaccinated) for a mind-blowingly fun road trip across the state of Utah, which I will remember for the rest of my life. My time in Utah more than made up for hardly being able to leave my house of the better part a year. I feel that I owe not just my physical health, but the triumphant return of my mental health to the Covid vaccine. Thank god for medical science!
If you’ve already been fully vaccinated, thank you, and please congratulate yourself on doing your part to keep yourself and others safe as we attempt to beat this fucking virus, which as we can see is not backing down so easily.
No matter how you celebrate, please have a fun, happy and safe Pride Weekend! Follow @worleygigdotcom on Instagram for more colorful photos from this blog and beyond!

When the only outdoor activity that’s still permitted is taking a walk, it’s important to give your walks a purpose. As the Covid Life hit us back in mid-March, I started collecting what you might call ‘mundane’ pictures on my iPhone camera roll during my afternoon jaunts; documenting things I see in the East Village in order to share the stories these photos tell about the people who live in my awesome neighborhood. For as long as this shit lasts, I’ll be publishing a thematic weekly series of photo-blog posts featuring snapshots from my East Village Life, so that we all might feel more connected. This week’s theme is Storefronts. Enjoy!
