If this Giant Pink Banana looks familiar, it might be because you’ve seen one like it offered as a prize for winning one of the games at Luna Park in Coney Island. I was nowhere near Coney, however when I saw this happy teenager, waiting to board the elevator from the 7 Train platform at 42nd Street with the banana, which is clearly as tall as he is, in tow. Live in NYC long enough and eventually you’ll see everything.

I had to do a reverse image search on this cute little guy to find out that his name is Jinx and he is a type of monster from Jellycat, who make amazing plush soft toys. Hey, remember when I found that Pink Staircase at an Asian Department Store called Teso Life, and I wished there was one in my neighborhood? Well, guess what? There is! I found this impossibly adorable, Smiling Pink Cloud Kitchen Sponge at a Teso Life that I only just discovered hiding on St. Marks Place in the Village. Fuckin’ A!
