Artist Kevin Champeny Creates Mosaic Portraits of Hillary and Trump From 1,000s of Tiny Middle Fingers

Dump Truck (All Photos By Gail)
Do you hate Donald Trump? I sure do. Dump (which is what I call him exclusively, with a rare exception being this blog post) sucks ass wildly, and he is destroying our country in ways few, if any, of us could have heretofore imagined possible. Dump’s outrageous suckitude inspires many artists to create art out of his likeness, because it makes him easier to mock. Yay! That being said, I was recently pitched a story on Kevin Champeny, a contemporary artist whose medium is creating sculptures made up of other tiny sculptures that are related to whatever the larger image is all about. Watch a video on Kevin’s practice at This Link to see him in action and get a better idea of what I am talking about, because he is truly amazing. Even better, Kevin cites Kris Kuksi (one of our favorites) as a major influence. Awesome. Those Who Can’t Season 2 Subway Ad
Whoever created this Ad is a marketing genius.
From Wikipedia:
Those Who Can’t is a half-hour show, based in Denver, Colorado, that follows three dysfunctional teachers, played by show creators Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl and Ben Roy of the Denver-based comedy troupe The Grawlix. More inept than the kids they teach, they’re out to beat the system as they struggle to survive each day on their own terms. Maria Thayer stars as the school librarian with a bubbling passion for life.
The show airs Thursdays on TruTV.

Geoffrey and I were walking East on West 50th Street on our way to MOMA and we passed this crazy Red Horse Head. We just had to stop and admire it, because it was part of an even larger, street-exposed display of sculptures and plants and very interesting things that you see below.
