Recently, I was honored and delighted to be invited by Keefy of the amazing Ghost Cult Magazine to join a cavalcade of Metal journalist luminaries from around the globe for a lively roundtable on the final shows ever from KISS (which took place this past weekend at NYC’s Madison Square Garden)! In this hour-long video, we debated whether  the KISS farewell tour was a successful or a controversial exit. Was it a perfect ending to an iconic band, or did they go too far?

Worleygig.com Gets A Spring Makeover!

New Worleygig Banner

It’s time again to do our Spring Cleaning, so maybe you’ve noticed (or maybe not) that we underwent a recent facelift in the form of changing WordPress themes after using the same one since our last upgrade in 2013! Wow, it seems like just yesterday. The new theme is a continuation of our ongoing site improvements that we announced on our 17 year blogiversary last June. Aside from a font change, you’ll notice that those site features formerly residing on the right side of our home page have moved to over to the left, leaving us with an expanse of new real estate to develop — yay! Who knows what will come next? I can only promise that it will be excellent. Have a look around at our new design and let us know what you think in the comments!

Holy Mother of God, can you even believe I’ve been writing Worleygig Dot Com, the world’s Raddest Blog, for fifteen solid years without stopping? It really is unbelievable: and yet, it is true. It was fifteen years ago today that The Worley Gig found its permanent home at this here domain, after first originating in print as a regular column in the East Village-based monthly arts and entertainment publication, The New York Hangover, and later moving on to great success at Pandemonium Online, followed by a few years of breaking new ground at Starpolish. What a long, strange trip it’s been.

All of these outlets are gone now, but The Gig Lives On! Why do I do it? Why do I continue to bring you the best of the New York City Art Scene, Rad Design, Music Video Clips that do not suck, awesome Food Adventures, Pop Culture from around the globe, the occasional Bacon thing, plus a brand new Pink Thing of the Day every single Friday like clockwork? I do it because I love writing this blog, and I love all of you for taking this journey with me!

Please follow us on Instagram at @WorleyGigDotCom for daily reminders to get your ass over here and discover what we’re up to and, and to say hello. Thanks as always for your continued readership!

Hey Bitches, guess what day it is? That’s right, it June 10th! But also, it’s exactly Fourteen Years since we started this ass-kicking blog, and look where we are today! While much of our blogosphere competition has fallen away due to general apathy and lack of enthusiasm, the Worley Gig continues to rock hard enough to crack a skull: bringing you, our loyal Readers, all of your favorite new music video clips, modern art, rad design, food, humor, exclusive urban adventures and things that are pink – six days a week – wow!

If you dig The Gig, please tell all of your friends about us, and follow us on Instagram at @worleygigdotcom. Thank you for your love!

Pink Thing of The Day: Me as a Barbie

Gail Pink Barbie 1
All Photos By Michael Fabrizio

I woke up Sunday morning to find a FaceBook message from my friend Michael containing an image in which he had Photoshopped my face onto the head of Barbie with flowing Pink Hair. As you can see, it is pretty sweet. I immediately posted it on Instagram (@WorleyGigDotCom), where it has currently accrued more Likes than any other image I’ve yet posted.

Pink Barbie Original

Here is the original image. The resemblance is, of course, uncanny. Especially the slender, giraffe-like neck!

He also made one where he gave me awesome bangs.
