Hosting a big summer party always sounds like a great idea — until you’re deep in the planning and juggling a hundred small decisions at once. Whether you’re celebrating the season or marking a special occasion, preparation can quickly start to feel overwhelming. With a few thoughtful choices early on, though, it’s entirely possible to stay organized and actually enjoy the process.

One of the most important decisions you’ll make is the location. There are a lot of venues you can book and hire, but sometimes the simplest option is also the most effective. Instagram Post of The Week: Halloween Monster Cake!

Worley Gig Gets A Spring Makeover!

New Worleygig Banner

It’s time again to do our Spring Cleaning, so maybe you’ve noticed (or maybe not) that we underwent a recent facelift in the form of changing WordPress themes after using the same one since our last upgrade in 2013! Wow, it seems like just yesterday. The new theme is a continuation of our ongoing site improvements that we announced on our 17 year blogiversary last June. Aside from a font change, you’ll notice that those site features formerly residing on the right side of our home page have moved to over to the left, leaving us with an expanse of new real estate to develop — yay! Who knows what will come next? I can only promise that it will be excellent. Have a look around at our new design and let us know what you think in the comments!

If you enjoy eating and watching movies, and you aren’t lucky enough to have an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in your city, then you are missing out on an opportunity to do both at the same time while also being outside of your own living room. Alamo Drafthouse is a cool chain of theaters where you can order food and drinks (read: alcohol) from your seat and servers bring it to you while you watch the movie. It is very fun and cool, and it definitely saves time and planning efforts when you are on a date and are trying to decide if you should eat dinner before or after seeing the film. We’ve all been there.
