Created in 1963, Wrapped Toy Horse is a small but telling early work by Christo and Jeanne-Claude that offers a glimpse into the origins of their now-iconic artistic language. Long before they wrapped bridges, coastlines, and monuments, the artists were experimenting with fabric and binding on an intimate, domestic scale.

TidalWave Comics has just added singer and pop phenomenon Benson Boone to its long-running FAME comic book biography series, and the result is… not exactly what you’d expect. FAME: Benson Boone, released this past week (January 28th), tells the story of Boone’s meteoric rise to stardom — but does so in a Japanese anime–inspired style that gives the singer an unexpectedly intense edge.

To honor Black History Month, Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm return with a new set of Star Wars Black History Month variant covers, arriving on select titles throughout February.
This year’s collection features four striking covers by acclaimed Marvel artists Karen S. Darboe, Ken Lashley, Mateus Manhanini, and Ernanda Souza. Together, the works spotlight Black characters from across the Star Wars universe, spanning classic cinema, recent Disney+ series, and interactive storytelling. The release also coincides with the 10th anniversary of Star Wars’ return to Marvel Comics, underscoring a decade of renewed visual and narrative expansion.

Affordable Art Fair, Fall 2025: The Photo Recap!

Change can be tricky — especially when it comes to something as familiar and well-loved as the Affordable Art Fair. This fall, the fair packed up its canvases and moved from its longtime home at the Metropolitan Pavilion to the Starrett-Lehigh Building on Manhattan’s far west side. Not only did this mean a completely new floor plan to navigate, but it also meant I could no longer stroll there from my apartment — major bummer. Still, once I got my bearings in the sprawling new space, I found plenty to love, including the building’s abundance of natural light, cool views and of course, an abundance of fantastic art. Let’s check it out!
