No matter how full I am from eating a meal, 90% of the time, I want to also have dessert. Because that is how roll.

Brother Jimmy’s BBQ is a place that will likely leave you feeling very satisfied after a meal of their ribs, chicken and other specialties – because their food is amazing. But on future visits you might have a more challenging time saying no to one of their home baked sweet treats, because they have just created a New Dessert Menu on which every pie, cake and ice cream creation is delicious. Dorian Grey Gallery in the East Village hosted an informal brunch today to promote its current exhibit, Indulgences, works on paper and recent paintings by New York artist Walter Robinson. As you might infer from the show’s title, Indulgences includes paintings of sweets and fast food favorites, pharmaceuticals and alcohol. The show also includes a selection of celebrity portraits, nudes and romance novel covers, but I didn’t feel compelled to shoot pictures of any of that stuff, so, you know, just go to the gallery and check it out.

Do you like to eat delicious, chocolaty brownies? I sure do. Mmmm, brownies. Yummy. But I really don’t like to have to bake them myself, for reasons I’d rather not go into here. If you are like me, the ideal situation is, of course, to either live with your Mom (not really an option), or find a good, local bakery and buy your brownie supply from that particular vendor.
