NYC may be gearing up for months of colder weather, but Fashion Bug is already thinking ahead with an exciting preview of their late winter/early spring 2012 line that will have you planning your next cruise or beach vacation before you’ve even donned your winter coat for the first time! On Tuesday, October 25th, we had a chance to preview Fashion Bug’s upcoming line, including a wide array colorful and versatile dresses, skirts, sweaters, pants, tops and accessories – all due for release between February and April of 2012. Here are just few of the new styles we saw and are already dying to own and wear!

The New York Times’ Arts Beat Blog reports that the Metropolitan Museum of Art is extending the hours of the wildly popular Costume Institute exhibition Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, which opened on May 4th.
The exhibit, which I saw a couple of weeks after it opened and was completely wowed by, was originally due to close on July 31st but it has been extended through August 7th due to overwhelming demand. Starting July 22nd The Met will allow members to enter the museum at 8:30 AM, an hour before the show opens to the public, via the museum’s 81st Street entrance and 80th Street garage.

When artist and sculptor Louise Bourgeois passed away in 2010 at the age of 98, she left behind a staggeringly rich legacy of art created in a multitude of mediums. Geoffrey and I were fortunate to be able to attend the Guggenheim Museum’s ambitious and highly successful 2008 Retrospective of her life’s work, which was possibly the most comprehensive and impressive retrospective I’ve yet seen. I mean, the woman did everything. What an amazing talent and what a huge loss to the art world, but how lucky were we to have her for 98 years? So lucky.
