It is no secret that eating and watching television are two of my favorite things to do in the world. And considering the fact that one of my favorite shows of all time is Bravo’s Top Chef, it did not take much prodding to get me to purchase tickets to attend former Top Chef contestant Carla Hall’s Pop Up Restaurant/dinner event at David Burke’s In The Box restaurant at Bloomingdale’s. Tickets to this event were offered, at what most people would consider to be kind of a steep price, through the Living Social website, but the expense proved to be so very worth it. Because Carla’s food is just insane!

It’s a fact that there will never be another band like The Beatles. I mean, it takes too long to even talk about. But for about 15 years, Oasis sure did have us imagining what a second coming of the Fab Four might be like, didn’t they? Tabloid tales of poor personal hygiene and ridiculous sibling rivalry / rampant fisticuffs between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher aside, Oasis was a real rock & roll band! Together with whoever happened to be in the band at the time, the brothers Gallagher wrote and recorded so many classic melodic pop songs that are better and more enduring than anything you’ll hear on the radio today.

Coca-Cola Can Collection!
Given a choice, I’ll always choose Coke over Pepsi, and I especially have a fondness for Coke collectibles and memorabilia, of which I have a tiny collection. So I was especially attracted to the website Cola Plaza, run by Xander – an avid collector of Coca-Cola cans, bottles and other Coke related memorabilia whose collection of over 8,000 different Coke cans is really quite impressive.
