Cambio Roasters Coffee: A Sustainable Brew in Every Pod

Do you like Coffee? I sure do. I especially love my K-Cup Coffeemaker for its convenience, ease of clean up, and the seemingly endless variety of flavors and drink types available in those little pods. I love it! But I also love the Earth, and the amount of waste that accumulates in landfills from those same convenient pods is not lost on me. Just because I recycle and compost the pods and their contents doesn’t mean anyone else does.

I’ve used coffee that comes in compostable pods in the past and those are great, but now there’s a new player in the sustainable pod game: Cambio Roasters — the coffee pod company behind the first aluminum K-Cup. Let’s check it out.

I’ve been following the career of Seattle-based pop artist Mike Leavitt since before I owned a digital camera and had to swipe photos for this website off the internet — which is something that takes too long to talk about. As one of my favorite contemporary artists, Leavitt possesses a remarkable gift for creating small-scale, hyper-realistic sculptures of renowned artists, political figures and celebrities and creating mash-ups that collide with his pop culture obsessions. Honestly, his work is in a class by itself.
