Currently Up for Auction on eBay: This vintage (circa 1973) Premier Drum Ad ran in all of the popular music magazines during the global Billion Dollar Babies tour featuring the original band called Alice Cooper. This Ad is signed personally by R&R Hall Of Fame inductee, drummer Neal Smith and is surely a very rare piece of Seventies Glam Rock History. The Auction runs through Monday December 9th, 2013.

Nick Gilder, one of the great unsung bubblegum glam rockers of the seventies, turns 59 today, having been born on December 21st, 1951. Here’s a clip of my favorite song by Nick, “You Really Rock Me,” accompanied by a collage of those cheesy Comment Cherry glitter graphics that anyone who was on MySpace back when it was hot shit will be sadly familiar with. Happy Birthday Nick! I hope you are still rocking!

It is not at all surprising that Mick Rock is also known as “The Man Who Shot the 70s.” Mick Rocks!
