Nicki Minaj is a rapper whom I have never heard of before in my life until this morning, when Geoffrey emailed me a photo he took of the cover art for her upcoming album, Pink Friday (drops 11/23/10), which he saw plastered on a random, graffiti-covered wall somewhere downtown. Apparently Ms. Minaj is the single most popular female rapper in the Universe. How did I miss that? I don’t doubt that her “music” would not be my thing, but I’m sure we can agree that this is a nice photo of a lady wearing a hot pink wig and impressive platform shoes, and a lovely sentiment, as well. Starting Monday, November 15th, Formula Werks‘ featured T-Shirt of the Week is the Ken Keirns-designed Terry: Patron Saint of 80’s Metal — which will be available to purchase for one week only. I have to confess that a shirt called “Terry, Patron Saint of 80s Metal” is particularly hilarious to me, as I know a guy named Terry who is quite passionate, if highly elitist, about his own musical taste, and he certainly never misses a chance to take a dump on my great love of 80s Metal, even if he has to go way off topic for the opportunity. Irony!
I’ve never seen even one episode of the TV show Gossip Girl, but you’d have to be dead from the neck up – or, say, older than dirt – to not know actress Taylor Momsen, the bleach-blond hair, raccoon eyed, teenage hell raiser who plays Jenny Humphrey on a show that, seriously, you would have to pay me to watch.
