While it’s been hot and steamy for a few weeks already, the official first day of Summer, June 21st, has arrived at last. Despite the inherent stickiness of a NYC summer it is, hands down, my favorite season of the year. Summer ushers in a feeling of joy and freedom that cannot concisely be put into words, and I am so ready to launch into three months of crazy fun. Feel free to share the reasons why you love summer, in the comments!

Instagram Photo Of The Week: Gail Meets Nick Rhodes!

The occasion of his 60th Birthday (June 8th) was reason enough for me to dig through my archives from the year 2000 and whip out this memory-making photo of me throwing metal with Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes! Woo! Yes, I had a poster of his face on my wall when I was in college — no shame!  You can read that interview Here!

Worleygig.com Celebrates Nineteen Years on The Web!

19 and fabulous
Hey, Nineteen!

Wow, it looks like this fabulous Gig of mine, which started out life as a print column back in the ‘90s — when I was still interviewing Rock Stars at a pretty steady clip — is closing in on (nearly) two full decades of me bringing my own brand of special radness to the Webiverse. Worleygig launched on June 10th way back in 2003! It has been sweet ride.

Please wish us a Happy Birthday by kindly following The ‘Gig on our Social Media accounts, (if you aren’t already doing so) at the following Links:

Instagram Photo of The Week: Skipping The Line!

While it was sad to say goodbye to Geoffrey, as he returned home to Los Angeles after a fun-filled week visiting me here in NYC, we added countess memories to our already bountiful cache of G and G Adventures and random good times! Here we are skipping to the front of the line at the Basquiat: King Pleasure exhibit, which you will be reading more about soon right here on The ‘Gig!
