When a new closeout store opened in my neighborhood a few months back, I suspected it would provide an excellent source for finding this site’s weekly Pink Thing of the Day, and I was, of course, correct. This 4-item Pink Fantasy fragrance and body care collection, which smells like ‘pink fantasy’ I suppose, was on sale for just $6.99! Considering it is a limited edition, I’d say that is quite a bargain!

The plots of many horror films, both modern and classic, often center on the tragic fate of individuals who take an interest in suspicious matters where their attention is neither wanted nor welcome. And while things rarely, if ever, work out well for the protagonists of those films, a provocative new documentary entitled Stink! aims to benefit, potentially, every consumer on the planet by revealing hidden truths about carcinogenic chemical ingredients contained in an innumerable list of products that we all eat, wear and put on our bodies every day. The cosmetic industry, the film points out, is especially lacking in federal regulation. It isn’t at all unlikely that the Chanel No 5 cologne that you spray on your body contains some of the same ingredients as your toilet bowl cleaner. Are you horrified? You will be by the time you’re about 20 minutes into Stink!

The packaging design of this fragrant body spray is almost too pink to resist, especially when you add the fluorescent, multi-colored lip prints. Even the fragrance name, “Pink Vanilla Kiss Fantasy” sounds almost edible. And I guess that is what good advertising is all about: compelling you to purchase a product based solely on how it looks on the shelf. Oh, the Pinkness.

As proof that One Direction Mania has infiltrated all corners of the world, I took the above photo while vacationing in Hamilton, Bermuda, so there really is no escaping it. There actually appears to be two separate fragrances: That Moment and Our Moment. A little sleuthing on my part reveals that That Moment is actually an updated version of Our Moment. Blah Blah Blah.
