It’s hard to believe that Queen vocalist Freddie Mercury was just 45 years old when he passed away from complications due to AIDS in 1991. If Freddie were still alive, today, September 5th, 2010, would be his 64th birthday. What an unbelievable loss. I miss you every day, Freddie.

What a fantastic lady she must have been to know. At least she had a good, long life and left us a stunning legacy of her life’s work. Rest in peace Madam.
Teenage Wasteland

On This Date, December 3rd, in 1979: At a concert by The Who held at Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati, eleven people were trampled to death after a stampede to claim general admission seats. It was the saddest day in rock, ever. The tragedy was later memorialized in a very sobering episode of the TV show WKRP in Cincinnati.
