Celebrating its grand opening this past weekend, The Egg House is an egg-themed pop up featuring immersive installations and offering a multi-sensory, interactive experience, not to mention — but you can see I am about to — the thing that the kids seem to love most these days: endless Instagram /selfie opportunities!
The only real bummer about David Bowie Is, the Brooklyn Museum’s immersive and wildly fascinating career retrospective on the late, great rock superstar is the fact that photography is not allowed inside the galleries. While I was out west in California for the Christmas holidays, I spent a few days in San Diego, where I visited the historic Hotel Del Coronado, a luxury resort property that’s right on the beach. The Hotel Del, as it is known, has an amazing and colorful history that goes back to the late 1880s and it is arguably San Diego’s most famous landmark building. These Pink Toothbrushes with Pink Bristles are sold in the MoMA Design Store (at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC) for $5.00. The toothbrush was designed by award-winning Danish designer, Andreas Engesvik, who is probably best-known for his furniture designs.
