Sometimes the best design surprises aren’t found in a restaurant’s dining room at all, but tucked away behind a door marked “Ladies.” While visiting the delightfully kitschy Trailer Park Lounge on 23rd Street, I squealed with delight to find the restroom so unexpectedly fun, it deserved its own Pink spotlight.

This is not the first Pink Ladies Room that has caused me to squeal audibly upon entering, but it is the most recent to do so. You will find this little piece of Pink-Lovers Paradise at El Nico Restaurant, which boasts stunning rooftop views, upstairs at the Penny Hotel in Brooklyn. Worth a trip

Eye On Design: Ladies Powder Room Seating at Radio City Music Hall, By Donald Deskey
Donald Deskey (November 23, 1894 – April 29, 1989) was an American industrial designer. Deskey’s approach to design was strongly influenced by the new European modernist principles he encountered while attending at the 1925 International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts in Paris and visiting the Bauhaus in Germany.
