I was Christmas shopping at a Nordstrom in midtown when I spied this fantastic silk men’s shirt with the likeness of actress Sissy Spacek as Stephen King’s ill-fated Prom Queen, Carrie (from the eponymous 1976 film directed by Brian De Palma). A little Googling reveals this shirt to be from designer JW Anderson‘s Fall/Winter 2022 Carrie Collection — because of course it is!

Remember when you bought that first piece of merchandise from your favorite band, team, or athlete? Being able to represent something important to you meant the world, and it’s a feeling that persists into most peoples’ adult lives. It’s both a way to express your love, and a grassroots advertising style.
With the ways that cryptocurrency shapes the world, it should be no surprise that it’s also making its way into fashion and art. Considering how devoted cryptocurrency advocates are, it’s surprising that we don’t see more people showing off a bitcoin shirt.

Arlo Guthrie has kept the music and legacy of his father, Woody Guthrie, alive for decades. His 1969 album, Running Down the Road, includes his fathers song “Oklahoma Hills” alongside original songs such as “Coming Into Los Angeles.”
