Not being a ‘Baby Person,’ I had never heard of Cybex, but apparently they are experts in child car seats, baby carries, strollers and other baby gear, for those who are baby-inclined. And their store in the Shops at Hudson Yards sure did design a fetching Window Display that is just exploding with soft Pinkness. Sigh.

Poor SpongeBob. He looks happy because he does not yet realize that he is no longer living in his Pineapple under the sea, and has been put out with the garbage. Sadness.

For reasons that are a mystery to me, the southeast corner of First Avenue and 14th Street has become a dumping ground for assorted household garbage just recently. It’s beyond disgusting. Come on people; have a little pride in your city and refrain from dumping your garbage on the sidewalk. Every apartment building in the city has assigned bins for refuse disposal. You don’t need to strew your shit on the corner of a busy intersection. Losers.

As an example though of something that was probably abandoned on the spot,  with little malice of forethought (though with a serious lack of personal responsibility), I recently noticed a discarded Play Stroller that was Pink enough to make make whip out my phone and document its sad demise. They could have at least tried to haul it to a trash bin.

While I can’t admit to being fan of every single John Waters‘ directed film (and I have seen most of them), I sure do appreciate his artistic aesthetic, and he seems like a cool person from what I hear. So, I was really excited to rush out to the Marianne Boesky Gallery in 15 degree weather to check out Waters‘ latest exhibit (and third at this gallery) which is called Beverly Hills John. This is an ambitious exhibit which showcases the director/artist’s work in a variety of mediums including photography, prints, collage, sculpture and film — all of which I found to be utterly delightful.
