A Holiday Celebration of Times Square (All Photos By Gail )

This year, ICC’s Annual Gingerbread Village is located in the midst of all the holiday hustle and bustle, in the Times Square Urbanspace Market. This edible showpiece made entirely of gingerbread, icing, and sugar celebrates two distinct eras of Times Square: the classic Christmas traditions of the 1980s and the excitement of today’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

After seeing a play on Saturday evening, Geoffrey and I walked by this Asian take-out place in the Times Square-Adjacent  Theater District. I just had to stop and take a picture of their window ads, featuring a cartoon version of Psy, singer of the worldwide, viral hit “Gangnam Style” from a few years back. Psy is pimping what looks like a pretty serious soup dumpling. Continue reading Gangnam Style Dumpling Korean BBQ Beef

Video: Heart of Hearts Sculpture in Times Square

If you are like me, you do whatever you can to avoid ever having to be in Times Square, but sometimes, it is an unavoidable displeasure. Imagine my surprise then, when I was just trying to get to the subway as quickly as possible after leaving a Food Show at the Marriott Marquis, and I saw this awesome sculpture; a circle of conjoined, golden mirrored hearts, that seems to reflect all that is lovely and wondrous about the most miserable place in the city.

The sculpture, created by Collective–LOK and called Heart of Hearts, will be on display in Times Square, near the TKTS Booth between 46th and 47th Streets, until March 6th, 2016. Read more about the sculpture at This Link!
