If you’re an art fan who loves taking advantage of the many free things there are to do and see in New York City, then sometimes you can be a little bit late to the party.  Maybe you missed the initial wave of press announcing Sea Idylls, Carole A. Feuerman’s hyper-realist sculptures of swimmers and acrobats installed on the Park Avenue Malls way back in April, because you were too busy paying attention to other stuff. Surely, it’s impossible to keep up on everything.

Carole A. Feuerman’s Hero and Leander at C24 Gallery

C24 has been one of our favorite galleries since we first discovered it with This Exhibit almost three years ago now. And the long wait we endured for the gallery to move into its new bi-level space, just half a block west of the previous West 24th Street location was well worth it, because with its cool new lower floor atrium, C24 can now showcase some truly monumental pieces, such as the hyper-realist sculptures of Carole A. Feuerman.

Sculptress Carole A. Feuerman is world-renowned for her hyper-realistic, cast resin and oil painted sculptures of swimmers and bathers. They are really quite breathtaking. Jim Kempner Fine Art is currently hosting a show of Carole’s new works entitled The Golden Mean which has sculptures ranging in size from very tiny to large than life.
