This past January, I made my first trip to the New York Times Travel Show at the Javits Center, because I am always game for new experiences to bring you on this rad blog. The show was amazing, and it inspired me to consider traveling to all sorts of exotic lands that I had previously never even considered visiting. But for reasons that should not need explaining, I had the most fun visiting the L.G.B.T.Q. Travel Pavilion. It was there that I met the men of Vacaya, which is the only large-scale travel company on earth serving the entire LGBTQIAPK community (IAPK = Intersex, Asexual, Polygamous / Polyamorous, Kink).

It was a very hot and sunny day in late December when my sister and I visited the Queen Mary, docked at Long Beach, California. Formerly a luxury cruise liner specializing in North Atlantic crossings (between US and England) for the Cunard Line, the ship has been retired since 1967 and now has a permanent home at the Port of Long Beach, where it does a brisk business as a luxury hotel, special exhibit venue, event space (get Married on the Queen Mary!) and one of Southern California’s most popular tourist attractions. Circle Line & World Yacht Celebrate The Holidays with the First Annual “Lighting of the Ships”

On December 9th, Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises  and World Yacht Dinner Cruises celebrated the festive season and lent support to two Local Non-Profits with the first annual Lighting of the Ships – which was a Family-friendly Visual Spectacular! The popular Cruise providers hosted an evening of lights and revelry for local New Yorkers at Piers 81 and 83, including two specialty cruises for Cruise provider-selected NYC non-profit organizations, each of which is committed to enhancing the lives of New Yorkers.
