Whether we’re talking about a classic movie theater or a theater where live stage productions take place, the speaking of foreign languages is growing more popular worldwide. This is partially because of cultural globalization, and the use of professional film-dubbing by skilled voice actors. Suppose we add various technology solutions that would allow choosing a preferred language and hearing the audio section of the movie — or a theater production — through headphones. Most of the props, sets, costumes, and models from the film 2001: A Apace Odyssey (1968) were intentionally destroyed by Director Stanley Kubrick to prevent their reuse in other productions; this surviving Aries 1B Spaceship Model is a rarity.

Eye On Design: May Queen Dress from Midsommar

In the 2019 Folk Horror film Misommar,  the May Queen Dress is worn by lead character Dani (played by Florence Pugh) in the story’s intense concluding sequences. The elaborate gown features 10,000 silk flowers, including forget-me-nots, sweet peas, and butter cups, and weighs 30 pounds.

The Harkonnen Capo Chair is one of the furniture designs by the late Swiss artist H. R. Giger (1940 – 2014). It is manufactured by hand chiefly out of aluminum or black fiberglass and made to resemble a human skeleton.
