Well-made shoes always look like works of art to me: Like tiny wearable sculptures. It’s probably not entirely unexpected then that others feel similarly — one of those being artist Sebastian Errazuriz. In 2013, Errazuriz debuted his installation, 12 Shoes for 12 Lovers at Miami Art Basel. A collection of twelve shoe-like sculptures inspired by twelve of the artist’s ex-girlfriends, and realized through the use of a 3D printer, these shoes were really quite spectacular, and were featured in a couple of The Gig’s Posts from that time. Hieronymus Bosch Boots

Holy Hieronymus Bosch, Batman! These insane ladies combat boots were photographed by my neighbor and used in a guide by ShoesFella! Erin and I just had to post them here, because they must be shared! The design on the boots is from the right panel of the Bosch triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights, which dates from between 1490 and 1510. You can read more about that painting at This Link.
Cake Shoes By Chris Campbell!
Please don’t eat these shoes! Creating works that are very similar to the art of contemporary sculptor Scott Hove, designer Chris Campbell has expertly painted and sculpturally enhanced dozens of pairs of Jimmy Choux shoes so that they appear to be decorated with the accoutrements of a fancy bakery cake! Clever and beautiful, but definitely not edible!
