Rudy’s is a famous Dive Bar in Hell’s Kitchen NYC that has a storied history going all the way back to 1933! Rudy’s 6-foot high Pink Pig mascot, known affectionately as The Baron, has stood vigil at the door for about twenty years, and was only stolen twice before they bolted his big butt down!
Happy New Year, Everyone! I am still coping with minor jet lag after my two adventure-filled weeks enjoying the holidaze in Southern California, but tomorrow it’s back to the grind I must go! I must admit that I had a good laugh when I passed this very familiar-looking sculpture while walking on the High Line recently. Maybe you have a similar dental Retainer(albeit on a much smaller scale) in your medicine cabinet right now. I know I do.
OK, you can probably tell that this not a “proper” Pink Origami Dinosaur but, rather, what is meant to appear as a Dinosaur Wrapped in Pink Paper, as if it were  gift waiting under the Christmas Tree! Other pink-wrapped gifts include a Guitar, a Swan Pool Floatie, a Globe, a Bicycle and a Cactus, among other items easily identified by their distinctive shapes.
