Summer may be freshly behind us, but you can still drink like it’s summer — whether you prefer cocktails or mocktails — with the delicious variety of real ingredient, non-alcoholic beverages from Bundaberg Brewed Drinks. A family-owned brewery in business for generations (based in their home town of Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia) Bundaberg soft drinks are now available in the states. This is cause for celebration!

Bundaberg Brewed Drinks are best-known for their world-renowned Ginger Beer (Regular and Diet), and their other sparkling craft beverages in flavors like Lemon Lime & Bitters, Root Beer, Pink Grapefruit, Blood Orange, Passionfruit, Peach, Pineapple & Coconut and Guava, just to name few. We received samples of the Lemon Lime & Bitters, Peach, and Pink Grapefruit, and here is our report!

Do you like Vodka? I sure do. Vodka has a quality I appreciate, in that it tastes delicious with virtually any mixer. If you want to make a killer Pink Greyhound, try using Bundaberg Pink Grapefruit as your alternative to fresh juice, and tell me if you can even taste the difference — because I could not. It tastes sweet and tart like fresh grapefruit juice with a light effervescence. This is my new go-to drink!

Lemon Lime and Bitters

A good friend of mine (who served as the attractive ‘hand model’ for the above photo) does not drink alcohol, but she loves to order a “Seltzer with lots of Bitters” whenever we go out, and she absolutely flipped over the Lemon Lime & Bitters flavor. She compared the taste to natural Ginger Ale. While I am not fan of bitters, I tried a sip and it was truly tasty and refereshing!

Bundaberg Sparkling Peach

Nothing says summer like the taste of a fresh, ripe and juicy Peach, amiright? Bundaberg’s Premium Peach Sparkling Brew (you can even see the tiny bubbles on the glass) tastes like a fresh peach in soda form! We love these soft drinks and can’t wait try other flavors

Snack Review: Lifeway Frozen Kefir Bars

Lifeway Frozen Kefir Bars

Do you like frozen desserts? I sure do. Frozen Fruit, Ice Cream, Yogurt – just put it on a stick and I’m good to go for convenient, tasty snacking! While attending the Health & Nutrition Editor Showcase event in February, I was introduced to a healthy snack called frozen Kefir from the Lifeway family of products. The folks at Lifeway were happy to send over a couple of boxes of their Frozen Kefir Bars in two delicious flavors and I have been enjoying them this past week as a light and low calorie snack while TV-watching!

For those who need a little back-story, Kefir is a cultured milk product that is similar to yogurt in that it contains probiotics – healthy bacteria that aid in digestion – as well as having other healthy benefits. I actually did a little research on the differences between Yogurt and Kefir, and you can check that out for yourself at This Link and learn about Lifeway Kefir’s various benefits by clicking Here.

The most distinctive flavor profile aspect of frozen Kefir is its tart sourness, which keeps the bar from tasting overly sweet. The Coconut Frozen Kefir Bar tastes exactly like Coconut as soon as it hits your tongue, but it is a light sweetness that contrasts well with Kefir’s natural tanginess. The Vanilla flavor also optimizes the natural tanginess to create a taste similar to delicious, rich Vanilla cheesecake — and who doesn’t love that? Kefir’s texture is creamy and there are only 56 calories per bar – which makes it an ideal dessert choice for anyone watching their weight. These all-natural bars are gluten free and 99% lactose free as well.

Lifeway Frozen Kefir Bars come in four flavors, including the very tasty Coconut and Vanilla mentioned in this review as well as Green Tea Raspberry and Peach, which sound delicious! Noosa: The World’s Most Delicious Yoghurt

Noosa Yoghurt Containers

Previously on Worleygig.com, we have made a claim that Noosa brand Finest Yoghurt is, in fact, the World’s Most Delicious Yoghurt. I’m confident that I have the background and experience to make such a claim, because I’ve been eating yoghurt since the days when it tasted like a cup of sour cream with a blob of jam at the bottom. Yoghurt is a food that I have been sampling for multiple decades, through every fad and every taste sensation up to and including yoghurt that masquerades as a fancy dessert and the current jump-on-the-bandwagon craze, Greek yoghurt. So, when I say that Noosa makes the best tasting yogurt I have eaten in my life, you can take me at my word.

Of course, I’m sure that Noosa would prefer it if, rather than than taking my word for it, you would try for yourself. Recently, the good folks at Noosa were kind enough to send me perhaps a dozen cups of their yogurt to eat and enjoy. I am going to share with you today the reasons why I love this yogurt so much and to suggest that you would probably enjoy it very much as well.

Noosa Beach
Noosa Beach: It Looks Nice

Although it is now made on a dairy farm in Colorado, Noosa is named for a Coastal Area in Australia where the yoghurt was first created.

Perhaps what stands out most for me is Noosa’s wildly appealing, almost velvety consistency. It has the thick richness of Greek yogurt but is lighter and creamier. Noosa also comes in a ton of delicious natural and fruit flavors including Mango, Peach, Raspberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, Honey, Lemon, Tart Cherry (each of which I have tasted personally ) as well as Blueberry, Passion Fruit and Plain.

Each container of Noosa has just the right amount of added fruit and juice to make it lightly sweet and flavorful but to keep the true, tangy essence of real yoghurt. Calorie counts per cup range from 240 to 290, with a fat content that ranges from 11 to 14 g (which is one reason why it tastes so freaking good).

Here is a true story of how I made potentially an entire family into fans of Noosa Yoghurt. Since I had so much in my fridge, I brought a container of Raspberry flavored Noosa to the office to share with my boss. I advised him that it would be the best yoghurt he had ever eaten. After two bites he agreed, declaring, “This is the best yoghurt I’ve ever tasted!” He immediately visited the Noosa website, where he happily discovered that Noosa is sold at several supermarkets in his town. Then he went home and asked his wife to buy some for the family. Voila, New Fans!

Noosa yoghurt comes in 8 ounce resealable containers, so it makes a satisfying midday snack or dessert. And if you want to save a bit to eat later, you can conveniently replace the plastic lid on the cup and know it will be fresh and tasty when you come back to it. As a bonus, if you are a person who has a need for reusable 8 ounce containers, these make perfect little containers for leftovers and small household items (always remember to recycle).

Noosa is the only brand of yoghurt I will ever buy. Please visit Noosa Yoghurt Dot Com to learn more about Noosa Finest Yoghurt and to download a Money Saving Coupon to use towards your next purchase!
